The Owners
Dawn J Zuidema and Scott Zuidema created ZuiDesigns, LLC. in 2019 to support the Midwest with their engineering experience and to consult companies globally on how to add electronics and electronic support to their products. They enjoy traveling as seen in the photo, where they are at the Parthenon in Athens, Greece.

We are a contract company specializing in software engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, technical leadership, project leadership, and program management for electronics and mechatronics projects/companies. We are also a consulting company helping mechanical engineering companies who want/need to add electronics or fully electrify their projects.
Dawn J Zuidema - Founder, Owner, Engineer
Dawn has a BSE in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Grand Valley State University and is pursing a Masters of Science in Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from GVSU. She has worked with mechatronic projects all of her career. She has worked in aerospace, automotive, and high-end commercial appliances. She is aware of the uniqueness and similarities of each of the industries. She is a global engineering and cross-functional leader and engineer for complex mechatronic designs. Her expertise is in helping organizations transition from typically mechanical designs to partially or fully electronic designs. She has worked on low level designs as well as lead international teams of engineers to create complex mechatronic designs for their customers in many roles including digital design engineer, signal integrity engineer, technical leader, all the way to a business unit manager.
Dawn is also active in the community on the board of Women Who, a Grand Rapids community organization which educates and connects female, female identifying and non-binary people of Grand Rapids. She is also on the board of the Central Park Players, a community theatre organization within Grand Haven. She enjoys yoga, hiking, and painting in her spare time.
Scott Zuidema - Founder, Owner, Engineer
Scott has a BSE in Computer Engineering from Grand Valley State University. He is also pursing a Masters of Science in Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from GVSU. He has worked in the aerospace, automotive, and outdoor powersports industries. He has had roles leading hardware design, software design, software verification, product validation, EMC compliance, and product engineering. He has also performed as an engineer in all those categories. He currently is an engineering instructor at a local university.
Scott is a supporter of open source projects particularly when in a Linux environment. He enjoys playing recreational sports such as dodgeball, kickball, and softball. He enjoys most games all the way from Euchre to StarCraft
